Controlled Chaos is a creative plugin for Figma that lets you generate multiple layout variations from a single frame using randomized component variants and layout rules.Ideal for generative design workflows, creative exploration, and visual prototyping, the plugin allows you to:Randomize Variants and Modes within a component setGenerate layout variations based on predefined rulesChoose your level of chaos, from subtle to extremePreserve your original design by generating new instancesWhether you're designing posters, exploring compositions, or creating a system for generative art, Controlled Chaos gives you the power to balance consistency with surprise.How to use itSelect a frame that contains components with variants (e.g. posters, cards, layouts…).In the plugin UI, choose your Chaos Level:Low: subtle and controlled changesMedium: a balance between order and randomnessHigh: full chaos, maximum variation(Optional) Enable Layout Chaos to also randomize the size and layout properties of elements.Click “Generate chaos”. The plugin will create a duplicate of your selected frame, with randomized variants and layout — your original design stays untouched.
