Optical Centre is a plugin that helps you find the visual balance point of a logo, icon, or image. The point your eye perceives as centred, which often isn’t the exact geometric middle.How to use itSelect a layer in your Figma file or upload an image in the plugin.The preview (left panel) shows your artwork with a crosshair overlay at its optical centre. You can zoom, pan, reset, or re-upload from the bottom toolbar.Use the controls (right panel) to:Show/hide or change the overlay styleApply a marker in your Figma fileAlign your selection so its optical centre matches the parent frame’s centreCopy → then paste into your file; the artwork will come inside a frame, already optically centredAdjust the vertical “optical nudge” if neededUndo or clean up markersThis way, you can quickly check whether a design element feels balanced, and make sure your logos or icons are truly centred to the eye and not just mathematically.
