About this plugin
Have you ever selected multiple layers in Figma and then tried to wrap them in frames, for example using the cmd+opt+G shortcut? If you've ever done this, you will be familiar with the disappointing result—Figma invariably wraps all selected layers in a single parent frame, instead of wrapping each selected layer in its own, individual parent frame. This is where Wrap Layers in Frames comes in. This plugin backfills this basic, missing, expected functionality in Figma, allowing you to wrap each layer in your selection in a separate frame. This plugin works especially well combined with another plugin I built, Frames to Auto Layout. A really common workflow for me is:Select multiple layersRun Wrap Layers in FramesRun Frames to Auto Layout on the frames created in the previous stepNow you have all of the layers you began with, each individually wrapped in auto layouts! Please feel free to leave a comment below with suggestions or feedback!
