Image2Gradient converts a selected image into an editable gradient fill in Figma.It’s designed for “soft color cloud” / mesh-like gradient images: the plugin analyzes the colors and automatically builds a high-fidelity result by stacking multiple radial gradient layers on a rectangle — so you can tweak each layer’s colors, positions, and opacity right inside Figma.How it works1.Select a single image layer (Image node) or a shape that uses an IMAGE fill.2.Run Image2Gradient and click Use Selected Image.3.Adjust:•Layers (3–10): more layers = higher fidelity•Softness: how quickly each color cloud fades out•Opacity: overall intensity4.Click Apply Gradient to:•apply to a selected rectangle, or•create a new rectangle and apply the layered gradients.Notes•Best results with gradient-style images (pastel clouds, soft backgrounds).•For photos or complex illustrations, the plugin will produce an approximation.•Runs locally inside Figma; no external services required.
