The tool operates through an integrated image-processing pipeline that allows designers to "downgrade" their visuals with surgical precision:Image Import: Users can pull images directly from their Figma selection or load sample files into a browser-based environment.Palette Reduction: It maps high-color images to restricted sets, such as pure Black & White, 4/8/16-bit Grayscale, or custom color counts ranging from 2 to 256.Hardware Emulation: The tool includes presets for historical hardware, including CGA (Cyan/Magenta/Red/Green), EGA (16 colors), and the original Game Boy green aesthetic.Dithering Application: It applies 18 different mathematical algorithms to simulate shades and gradients that aren't available in the chosen palette, preventing harsh color banding.Live Adjustments: Users can tweak brightness, contrast, and pixel size in real-time before applying the final effect back to the Figma canvas.
