About this plugin

R-Data imports your diagrams and whiteboards from Lucidchart, Lucid Spark, and Miro into FigJam as editable shapes — not images, not PDFs. Native FigJam stickies, native sections, native connectors. Your team edits on day one. It also works the other way: extract any FigJam board here and migrate it to Miro from the R-Data Chrome extension. HOW R-DATA WORKS R-Data is two pieces that work together: • A Chrome extension that reads your source library (Lucid, Spark, Miro, FigJam) and runs the migration. • This FigJam plugin, which paints migrated shapes onto the FigJam canvas when your destination is FigJam — and extracts the board you have open when FigJam is the source. The plugin is free to install; pricing applies to migrations purchased from the extension. WHAT IT DOES • Miro → FigJam: Frames become sections. Stickies keep their colors. Connectors stay wired. Relevant for organizations migrating to a FedRAMP-authorized platform. • Lucidchart → FigJam: 148 Lucid shape types mapped to FigJam equivalents. Flowcharts, BPMN, ERDs, network diagrams, cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP - 1,821 icons), swimlanes, mind maps, org charts, and full-color tables. Our highest-fidelity route. • Lucid Spark → FigJam: Spark whiteboards arrive as native FigJam content. Sticky notes and speech-bubble stickies become native FigJam stickies. Containers and frames become sections. The full Spark shape library (circles, diamonds, hexagons, stars, clouds, triangles, arrows, databases) arrives as its closest native FigJam type. Pen strokes arrive as editable vector paths with original color, width, and cap style preserved. • FigJam → Miro: Going the other way? Open the board in FigJam, run this plugin, and use "Migrate this board out". The plugin reads the board directly — no Figma sign-in, no Figma API limits — and the Chrome extension migrates it to Miro. Sections, shapes, stickies, connectors (straight, curved, elbowed, dashed), images, and pen strokes carry over. We recommend testing with one board first. HOW TO USE To bring a board INTO FigJam: 1. Install the R-Data Chrome extension (link above). 2. Sign in and pick documents from your Lucid, Spark, or Miro library. 3. Open a FigJam file, run R-Data from Resources → Plugins, click Import. Shapes arrive positioned, colored, and connected. To migrate a board OUT of FigJam: 1. Open the board in FigJam and run R-Data from Resources → Plugins. 2. Open "Migrate this board out", paste the board's URL from the address bar, and click Extract this board. 3. In the Chrome extension, choose FigJam as the source, select the board, and migrate it to Miro. WHAT MIGRATES Shape positions, dimensions, rotation, fill colors, stroke colors and widths, text content, font sizes, connector routing, connector endpoints, arrow styles, container hierarchies, swimlane structures with colored lane headers, ERD entity cards, BPMN gateway symbols and event color coding, cloud architecture icons (AWS, Azure, GCP), mind maps and org charts as native connected shapes (branch colors, department colors, and Lucid's layout preserved), tables with per-cell fills, merged cells, and banding, timeline and milestone marker lines with their labels pinned where Lucid draws them, hand-drawn pen strokes from Lucid and Spark (as editable vectors with rotation preserved), multi-page documents stacked cleanly on one canvas, user-uploaded images. WHAT DOESN'T (YET) Rich text formatting (code blocks, links, lists, underline) - plain text only. Lucid dynamic data-linked tables and Paths render as labelled placeholder rectangles. When extracting, it reads only the FigJam file you run it in — never other files or your Figma account data — and sends that board's shapes and images to your own R-Data account. Source document data is processed by R-Data's server for shape transformation, then deleted within 7 days (used only for error recovery).
