About this plugin

Access·Lens turns your Figma file into a passing WCAG 2.1 AA + European Accessibility Act conformance check, before a single line of code is written.WHY THIS MATTERS NOWThe EAA (Directive 2019/882) takes effect 28 June 2025. It covers 109 million Europeans with disabilities today, projected to reach 142 million by 2050. 85% of Europeans want the right to seek sanctions against non-compliant providers (Eurobarometer). National fines reach up to €100,000 per breach (Germany BFSG). The European Commission's own Impact Assessment estimates that making products fully accessible costs 1 to 2 percent of total dev cost, but only when caught at design time.WHAT IT CHECKS (FREE)- Text contrast on solid backgrounds (WCAG 1.4.3)- Body text below 12 px (1.4.4)- Interactive targets smaller than 24 × 24 and 44 × 44 (2.5.8 / 2.5.5)- Components without descriptions (4.1.2)- Image fills without alt-text annotation (1.1.1)- Heading-level skips in named layers H1, H2, H3 (1.3.1)- Default frame names on top-level frames (4.1.2)REGULATORY ALIGNMENT- WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA success criteria- EN 301 549 V3.2.1 §9 (Web) and §11 (Software), the EU harmonised standard- EAA Directive 2019/882 Annex I Sections I, III, VII (Functional Performance Criteria)- OAW v2 / UNE-EN 301 549:2022 methodology, Spanish public-sector audit standard- ANED 2012 three-tier classification: general obligation, specific requirement, detailed technical specificationFUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA COVEREDEAA Annex I §VII categorises user needs into 11 functional categories.
