About this plugin
ShiftLog picks up where Figma's Version History leaves off. If you're on a distributed team (say, a design team in India handing off to a team in the US), you know the drill: someone opens the file, has no idea what changed overnight, and ends up scrubbing through version history one entry at a time. ShiftLog watches the file for you and turns that into a clean, per-element changelog anyone can skim in a minute. What it doesCatches every real change. Every edit, add, delete, and style, variable, or component update is pulled straight from Figma's own document events. Nothing here is guessed or inferred.Shows you what a variable change actually touches. Update a primitive color or swap a component, and ShiftLog traces it through to every screen that consumes it (including through variable aliases), so you're not left wondering what else just moved.Logs continuously. The moment you open the plugin, it starts keeping a running history in the Log History tab, whether or not you've pressed Start Shift.Builds your handoff for you. Start a shift, end a shift, and ShiftLog hands you a copy-paste summary grouped by frame, ready to drop into a message to the next team.Lets you tag a teammate on a specific change, so the next person knows exactly where to look.Searches and filters by frame, tag, or kind of change once things get busy.

Technical Details
- API:1.0.0
- UI:ui.html
- main:code.js
- Document Access:dynamic-page
- Network Access:
Voice-note transcription (via an open-source, on-device Whisper model) needs network access to fetch the transcription library and model weights the first time it runs. That change is prepared but intentionally held back until approved — this manifest still allows no network access, so the code path exists in code.js/ui.html but transcription will fail closed until allowedDomains is updated.
- Editor Types:figma
- Allowed Domains:
