Icondify
Match a selected Figma icon to its react-icons name
Plugin Preview
About this plugin
Icondify tells developers which icon they are looking at in Figma, and how to use it in code.Select a single icon layer. Icondify compares its shape and preview against Material, Lucide, and Font Awesome, then shows the closest matches with the react-icons package name, export name, and a copy-paste snippet. It does not change your file. Nothing is inserted, replaced, or renamed on the canvas. How to useOpen Icondify from Plugins (works in Design and Dev Mode).Select one icon — a vector, component, instance, or grouped icon.Review the ranked matches and copy the snippet into your app.NotesBest on simple, single icons. Complex illustrations may not match well.Matching uses path comparison and visual similarity, so results are ranked suggestions, not a guarantee.Icondify calls a matching API to identify icons. It does not modify your document.PrivacyWhat is sent: when you select an icon, Icondify POSTs that layer’s Figma node id, layer name, type, size, SVG path data when available, and a small PNG preview to my matching API so it can rank Material, Lucide, and Font Awesome names. The rest of the Figma file is not uploaded.Retention: the icon payload is used only to compute matches for that request. SVG and preview images are not written to a database or object storage. They exist in memory for the length of the request (typically a few seconds) and are then discarded. AWS CloudWatch may keep a one-line request log (layer name, icon type, whether SVG/preview were present, match count). Those logs do not include the SVG markup or PNG.Deletion: there is no account and no stored copy of your icons to delete. If you want request logs removed, email the support address on this listing and I will delete the relevant CloudWatch logs.Icondify does not modify the Figma document.
